When picking subcontractors, we look beyond just the lowest bid. Sure, price matters, but we also weigh their track record for on-time completion, safety violations, and whether they communicate well. It's also crucial that they carry proper insurance and licensing for our state. I always check recent references from similar projects to see if they handle unexpected issues without drama. Ultimately, we need someone reliable who fits our workflow and quality standards.
