The DPAS rating system used for the A7 is a bit niche but straightforward once you get past the acronym. Basically, it evaluates the camera's dynamic range and overall sensor performance, giving you a solid benchmark for low-light and high-contrast scenes. I found it useful for comparing RAW file quality without getting bogged down in spec sheets.
