Laying down artificial turf in our backyard wasn't as easy as rolling out a carpet. We had to clear the old grass, level out bumps in the dirt, and pack down a base of crushed stone for drainage. The turf itself came in heavy rolls we wrestled into place, cutting it carefully around the legs of the playset. We spent a whole day on it, but now there's no more mud tracked through the house or bare patches after a rainy week. It actually looks pretty good, and the kids can play on it right away.
